Vice President and Director of Field Operations
Rob began organizing when he was hired as a canvasser in May 1992 and quickly showed his skills in field work. Seeking to unite his talent as an organizer with his avid interest in politics, Rob joined PCI in early 1993 as its lead organizer. Since then he has become Director of Field Operations and managed statewide advocacy campaigns throughout the country, including Single Payer Health Care, Auto Insurance Reform, and Drug Sentencing Reform.
Rob has one of the most impressive political resumes in field work:
Stephanie administers PCI’s financial records and accounts and has worked with PCI since 1994. Initially hired through the field side of the shop, she was our top fund raiser during her first year. Stephanie is remarkably gifted at multitasking – frequently assisting with signature processing in addition to managing the fiscal operations. Stephanie has skillfully organized events as diverse as street protests to hiring campaign staff. In her spare time she is a certified neuromuscular therapist and competes internationally with the Marina Del Rey Outrigger Canoe Club.
Director of Signature Processing
Dana Gonzalez-Aplin leads our technical operations and oversees the industry's top signature checking and validation system. With a background of working political field campaigns and certified as an IT Specialist, she has helped create the very systems and operating procedures that have allowed PCI to timely process and deliver over 46 million signatures. Dana manages data entry staff and handles the highly detail oriented tasks involving checking, processing and preparing submissions to secretaries of state, county registrars and city clerks. Dana lives in Thousand Oaks, California and also manages her busy family -- her husband, two daughters, a son, a dog and new kitten.
